Monroe Commercial was formed in 2020, by Leanna Corban, who along with residential expert Jordan Yorath, specialise in several key areas of real estate, thanks to nearly two decades of experience in the residential property sector. Since establishing the business, Monroe Commercial has already set about taking on new clients and instructions in Leeds, Newcastle, Hull, Rotherham, Manchester and Harrogate.

Jordan Yorath has vast experience as an estate agent and is a residential investment and development speclialist. Leanna has a vast amount of business, financial and property experience and offer a highly personal service to their growing client list.

Great George Street, Leeds City Centre

We originally acquired for a private investor client in 2014. This stunning freehold piece of LS1 real estate includes 9 apartments on the upper floors, along with a mix of retail and leisure units on the ground floor and parking to the rear. We recently acted for the same client in 2020 to dispose of the mixed use investment for just under £2,000,000. With a turn around time of just 12 weeks from the initial clients instructions to sell, we marketed and progressed the sale to completion during Covid-19 restrictions. Our client was, of course, delighted with the full circle investment agency service we provided, from acquisition to exit.

Silver Gates, Alwoodley, Leeds

Retained by a Harrogate based developer, Raven St John, we acquired this site which came with planning to develop luxury apartments. We secured the deal “off market” and the development is currently under construction to deliver 8 apartments with secure parking in 2021.

Yorkshire House, Castleford

Aware of a requirement in the market from a leading residential fund purchaser, Castle Forge Partners, we approached the owner of this freehold residential conversion in Castleford and received instructions to sell. We negotiated and quickly agreed the sale on behalf of the Freeholder which included the income from 26 apartments, 5 garages and a telephone mast. We managed to complete the sale during the 1st Covid 19 Lockdown, thanks to excellent lines of communication between all parties.

Rowntree Wharf, York

We acquired this freehold investment/development opportunity for our clients in 2015 for £3,000,000. Selling off a number of top floor apartments at £1,000,000 shortly after completion. Following on from this, they successfully redeveloped and fully sold out a residential conversion in 2019.

9 East Parade, Leeds City Centre

Retained by a developer client based in Leeds, Mayfair investment Group, we successfully acquired this prime freehold on East Parade in Leeds City Centre “off market”. Having observed the property had stood vacant ‘To Let’ by an agent on behalf of the the long leaseholder we negotiated a deal structure which included the leaseholder buying the freehold from the landlord and then selling on to our client, which shaved £2,000,000 from their outstanding leaseholder liability on the property and in turn, led to our client acquiring a prime freehold with vacant possession in Leeds City Centre for just little over £120 PSFT.
