There are two major supermarkets in the area - Lidl and the Co-Operative, while there’s also a branch of Tesco Express which adjoins a petrol station. 

Banks in the area are Yorkshire Bank, Natwest, Barclays and HSBC, while the post office is on Harrogate Road.

Stainbeck Police Station is around half a mile from the main shopping area and serves the whole of north-east Leeds. Chapel Allerton Hospital is just south of the crossroads of Harrogate Road and Harehills Lane and is open seven days a week. The local surgery, Allerton Health Centre, is on Montreal Avenue, just off Harrogate Road.

Transport Links

Chapel Allerton is served well by local buses. The main routes that go along Harrogate Road are the 2 and 3/3A, both of which run every 10 minutes during peak times. The 48 and 91 also stop on this road, while the 7A and 7S go along Scott Hall Road en route to Moor Allerton and Alwoodley.

The nearest train station is Headingley, although it’s over two miles away. Leeds station is only marginally further away and is easier to get to. As for parking, spaces are available near the two supermarkets, while street parking is limited around the shops.
