Horsforth Hall Park

The park's attractions include large spaces of open parkland, a cricket pitch, a bowling green, an adventure playground, a bandstand and a Japanese formal garden.

Bramhope Scout Campsite and Activity Centre

The campsite has thirteen acres (five and a quarter hectares) of ground surrounded by trees of many descriptions, with areas suitable for District, Troop and Patrol camping. 

Adel Dam Nature Reserve

A little gem of a woodland and wetland nature reserve. Stroll among dramatic high canopy trees planted as a victorian garden, enjoy close up views of the bird feeding station, popular with woodpeckers and mandarin ducks, then overlook the lake with an almost guaranteed sighting of the resident kingfishers.

Roundhay Park

Just a short drive away, Roundhay Park is one of the biggest parks in Europe. Great to take the kids or go for a long Sunday stroll.

Moortown Park

Commuting

Another main decider when choosing an area to buy a home is how it will affect your daily commute to work, take a look below at the transport links for each suburb.

Roundhay:

Just five miles from the city centre with buses every 10 minutes, Roundhay offers an easy commute into the city. Near the A6120, it is also easy to reach the M1 and M62 for anyone working further afield or travelling. Leeds Bradford International Airport is less than half an hour away.

Horsforth:

Horsforth Train Station offers links at least twice an hour to the City Centre and Harrogate. Multiple bus services from the area connect Horsforth to nearby towns, whilst the close proximity to motorway networks including the M62 makes Horsforth a prime spot for commuters, not to mention having Leeds Bradford International Airport on its doorstep.

Bramhope:

Bramhope benefits from quick and easy access to Leeds City Centre. The closest train station is in Horsforth and it provides access to the city, Knaresborough, Harrogate and York. Or alternatively the city centre can be reached by car within 20 minutes and by metro bus number 28. Additionally, the Leeds Bradford Airport is just two miles away.

Alwoodley:

Close to Leeds' Ring Road and just 15 minutes from the city centre, Alwoodley is perfectly situated. Just 20 minutes from Leeds Bradford Airport and close to the areas of Roundhay, Chapel Allerton, Moortown and Meanwood. 

Oakwood:

Oakwood is just 3 miles away from Leeds City Centre, reachable by regular bus routes or a quick 10 minute drive, making it an ideal spot for commuters. Only 10 miles separates Oakwood from both the M62 and Leeds Bradford International Airport, making Oakwood a prime spot for those who work a little further afield or enjoy a holiday.

Moortown:

Easy access to Leeds by bus means that it is ideal for commuters to the city but Harrogate and York are also less than 45 minutes away. For weekend trips, the Yorkshire Dales are a short drive, Burley Park train station is the closest rail transport and Leeds Bradford International Airport is less than an hour.
